Hey, Readers, Go Vote Today

Reading Time: < 1 minute.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris

Update:

Hey, readers, well done.

This is likely the most important election of our lives. We have a chance to denounce the vile hatred, bigotry, and anti-science of the last four years. This isn’t a political blog but the intersection of tech and politics is growing. So, for tech, for science, for every American who deserves equality, go vote.

To be clear, I’m saying Biden/Harris 2020. Let’s put an end to this hate. Get out there and be a part of this historic moment, when America turned away from hate, bigotry, and, frankly, fascism. To quote the Biden campaign, it’s a “battle for the soul of the nation.” Make sure it’s one we can be proud of.

Stay warm, it’s chilly. Bring some coffee or hot cocoa. Hand warmers and gloves, too. Bring some snacks and water. If you requested an absentee ballot, you can drop it off. If you are registered to vote, you can vote today, no matter what. You may need to request a provisional ballot, but you will be able to vote. Just listen to the volunteers and remember to be patient. They’re having a rough day too.

I’m sure I’m preaching to the choir on this one. More people are voting in this election than previous ones, and that was before election day. We could be looking at an unprecedented turnout. Still, don’t believe the polls, don’t believe the hype. Get out there and be a part of this.
