On September 7th, Apple will take to the stage (and streaming) to reveal the iPhone 14. It’s anticipated to be the most disappointing iPhone reveal in years.
Okay, fine, I’m just salty that Apple won’t release an iPhone 14 mini.
However, there is some truth to it. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Big (or whatever they call the tablet-sized iPhone replacing the iPhone 13 mini), may only have the A15 processors from the iPhone 13 series. Only the Pro models are expected to get the latest chips. Similarly, only the Pro models will get other rumored features, like an always-on screen and a pill-shaped Face ID in the iPhone 14 Pro Max Mega Bigtime.
The reveal is earlier in the year than Apple’s usual of late, and could suggest they’re finally ready to move back to mid-September releases, with an event a week earlier than last year’s.
Apple’s event will be on September 7th, starting at 10am pacific time, 1pm eastern time.
