Evan Blass has more than just the iPhone 12 mini, it would seem. He’s also released photos of what he claims are the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and HomePod mini.
There’s a lot to unpack here.
iPhone 12
The iPhone 12 will come in the same colors we saw in the iPhone 12 mini, with the same two camera array. This will be Apple’s mid-size “budget” new model, and will likely be Apple’s most popular model this year.
iPhone 12 Pro
The iPhone 12 Pro will come in a metallic blue, gold, graphite, and white colors. It’ll feature the same triple camera array as the iPhone 11. However, we’ve heard that the telephoto lens will be upgraded to a 4x lens. Apple will also add a LiDAR sensor below that telephoto lens, to improve AR and possibly depth detection in photos.
iPhone 12 Pro Max
The iPhone 12 Pro Max also has the same camera array, but it appears to be larger. The camera bump itself is larger, the lenses appear larger, everything’s bigger. It’s possible that this means the rumor that the best camera in the lineup would belong to Apple’s massive phablet is true.
It’s a shame you’ll have to get something that fits better in a laptop bag than a pocket just to get Apple’s best camera, but they’ll have to justify it’s outrageous price somehow.
HomePod mini
The HomePod mini will still look sort of like a HomePod. Instead of a cylindrical shape, it will instead have a sphere-like shape, with a flat top and bottom. The top will have lights for Siri as well as touch based controls. It’s expected to run on Apple’s S5 chip, which powers the Apple Watch SE.
And that’s it!
Expect to see these items and, maybe more at Apple’s event later today!
