Next Tuesday at 10am, PDT (1pm EDT), Apple will take to the stage to reveal their new iPhone 12 smartphones. The focus on “speed” in the invite could suggest that the A14 chip and 5G connectivity will be a focus of the event. It also suggests that Apple may introduce their first Apple-silicon based Mac. These will be fast and energy efficient, but limited by software.
The iPhone 12 is expected to come in 4 models, in 3 sizes. The iPhone 12 mini at 5.4″, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro at 6.1″, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max at 6.7″. The devices will have a new, easier to hold iPhone 5-like design, with elements from the iPhone 4 as well.
Apple may also introduce a new Apple TV, HomePod mini, and AirPods Studio.
The event on Tuesday will be streamed. You can watch on Apple’s website or YouTube.
Oh, and, yes, the invite uses AR again. Visit the site on Safari on an iOS device and tap the invite for a secret AR Easter egg.
