EverythingApplePro claims they’ve gotten their hands on a leaked iPhone 12 Pro chassis. It looks like it could be the real thing. The chassis seems to have all of the appropriate cutouts in the right places. It seems to be the right size, and matches design descriptions we’ve heard so far. This very well could be the real thing.

This confirms a few things. The sides are squared off, we can see a place for wireless charging, and there are larger areas for an antenna. Potentially 5G? The camera also features an extra sensor, which will likely be LiDAR. Apple brought LiDAR to the iPad Pro this year, and will likely do the same for the iPhone 12. However, this may be one of the differentiating features between the iPhone 12 and the i8Phone 12 Pro. We’ve heard that the iPhone 12 will get the same OLED display as the iPhone 12 Pro this year, eliminating the best reason to upgrade.
According to Jon Prosser, another leaker, albeit one with a spotty record and false information this release cycle, this is the iPhone 12 Pro.

Every leak and rumor we’ve heard up until now has all but confirmed this design and these features. New shape, 5G, LiDAR, and 6.1-inch for the Pro. We can also expect a 5.4-inch version of the iPhone 12, a larger 6.1-inch iPhone 12, and a gigantic 6.8-inch iPhone 12 Pro. While Apple could reveal these at their event on Tuesday, it’s more likely that they’ll save the iPhone for an event in October. Due to COVID-19, Apple’s iPhone supply chain saw delays, pushing the release back by a month.
Apple will have had to keep some secrets extremely close to surprise us with anything in October.
