Apple Recalls 2015 15-inch MacBook Pro Batteries

Apple's header for the 15-inch MacBook Pro recallIf you have a “mid-2015” MacBook Pro, you’ll want to bring it in to Apple. Apple says the battery could overheat and pose a fire safety risk. Lithium ion batteries can even violently explode, so do not take this warning lightly. Head over to Apple’s recall site and enter your serial number there. You can find your serial number by going to the Apple () menu in the upper left corner and selecting “About This Mac.” Then copy and paste the serial number onto Apple’s website to search your number. If Apple says your device poses a risk, set up an appointment with Apple to exchange it immediately.

Bulging, overheating, and explosive lithium ion batteries are no joke. Be sure to act quickly if your device poses a risk.
