Apple will reveal new versions of iOS and macOS, as well as updates to tvOS and watchOS.
We’re expecting major changes for iOS this year, as Apple decided to make iOS 12 a stability update last year after developing a large number of new features. iOS 11 was just too buggy for them to release an update on top of it, and iOS 12 has been here to improve stability and performance on older devices. It worked, but I’m looking forward to seeing a real update for the platform.
As for the update? Apple often sneaks clues into their updates. Here I see an animoji, the Metal symbol and Swift, so definitely expect improvements to Swift and Apple’s graphics SDK. There seem to be many app and game related icons, but also symbols for messaging, sharing, and AR. There’s even a HomePod thrown in there, so perhaps we’ll see an update that. opens the speaker up to third party developers.
