2016 and Newer MacBook Pro Models May Have Display Cable Issues – Joe Rossignol, MacRumors

Some MacBook Pro users have reported an issue with their display. The bottom of the screen will get shadows on it, where the backlighting is not properly lit up. This is the result of faulty flex cables in the device’s screen.
The cables are, unfortunately, integrated into the display. This means that, when replacing these cables, Apple technicians must replace the entire display. This can cost hundreds of dollars for something that shouldn’t have cost more than a few cents in parts. A petition asking Apple to fix the problem with free replacements has been signed by over 8,000 people.

The Eurasian Economic Commission has leaked a few Apple products before they’re released. Thanks to that lax security, we now know that Apple will release six new iPad models shortly. The part numbers suggest these will be completely different devices. Is Apple finally ready to revive the iPad mini lineup, or is this simply the iPad Pro and iPad getting an early update?
Report Claims New AirPods Will Have “Health Monitoring” – Tim Hardwick, MacRumors
A new report from DigiTimes claims that Apple’s new AirPods will release in the first half of 2019. We expect the new AirPods to come with a new case, capable of wireless charging. Furthermore, DigiTimes reports that the AirPods will contain some kind of new “health tracking” features, though they do not specify what these could be.
